The AI slide, release by release
Classic Central, New Central and Mist on one timeline. Drag through it and see what actually shipped, what's in select availability, and what was only announced. Every cell carries the license tier the vendor documents for it.
Feature comparison
New at this notch "Not found" means I didn't find it in that platform's release notes or docs. Tier text is what the vendor documents; where it says nothing, so does the cell.

How I'd scope it
Ask which features the customer saw in the demo, then check each one against the table at today's notch. Select availability and announced are not GA, and the gap matters when someone expects it on day one.
Licensing is the other conversation. There's no separate Copilot license. After the 90-day trial you need Advanced on 100% of the devices in the account. The licensing page has said so since spring; the subscriptions FAQ said 90% until October 2026 and now says 100% as well (the 90% rule remains for the three Advanced insights). A tenant that mixes Foundation and Advanced won't light up what the demo showed. Get the current number from HPE in writing before you quote it.
When Central's autonomous actions do ship, I'd run them the way Mist does today. Start in recommend, watch what it would have done for a few weeks, then enable actions one at a time per site. Mist keeps an "AI Validated" status after each fix, which is a good model for what to ask HPE about.
Classic isn't getting any of this, and it's losing what it had. HPE's Day-2 FAQ says monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting and AI operations are moving to New Central, while onboarding and config stay in Classic. No date is published. If a customer wants the AI features, that's the real migration conversation.
